A meal replacement is a drink, beverage, soup, etc. intended as a substitute for a solid food meal, usually with controlled quantities of calories and nutrients. Dietary wise a meal replacement should include the all the nutrients in a balance meal.
Consuming wholesome food is the best choice for a balance diet. However with the hectic lifestyle of current society, meal replacement can be a good and convenient food to ensure we received the nutrition of a balance diet. Meal replacement is also a very good substitute for solid food for people with medical conditions that affect the body’s ability to digest and absorb normal meals.
